just another HOT yucky Arizona day

Can I just tell you how much I hate the heat???!!!?? I do. I dispise it. Now I know why I stay home so much during the summertime! It's too dang hot to go out and about. Early this afternoon Mariah left to a friend/ex-cousin's house to swim and spend the night. Afterwards, I finished getting ready while Easton napped and Jaden watched his usual television shows (thank you Disney and Nick Jr!!). Then I was getting the urge to get out of the house. Shelly and Kamry wanted to me to come over, so I figured I would start out by doing that.

We ate Pirates Fish & Chips over at Shell's for lunch which is always yummy! Kamry needed to run up to the mall so we all decided to go up together before Kamry had to head back up to Show Low. The mall was fun. I did window shopping and let Jaden and Easton go see the doggies at the pet store. They loved it. It got to be time that Kam needed to head home, so we headed out to the car. OMG, it was disgustingly hot! My feet literally felt as if they were on fire walking on the black asphalt. The car was even more pleasant...NOT! I hate putting the little ones in an oven of a car. Luckily my minivan has full rear air so the kiddos can cool down rather quickly! Well kinda, as fast as you can here in the blistering desert.

After we got home I let the boys have the lovable summer treat...popsicles!!!! Thank goodness for those good 'ole fashioned treats!!

Tonight we are going up to the church for our Elder's Quorum party for homemade ice cream and volleyball. Should be a fun night. As long as we stay cool! I'm SO ready for the summer to be over.

LOL, Corbin always asks why HF made AZ so hot?! We try not to go anywhere during the day, but doesn't always happen. Glad you got to spend time with Kam though. And hope you had fun at your church party last night!
