Meet the Newest Addition to our Family...

So yesterday Julie had some adorable kittens her sister was giving away posted on her blog. I called Will at work and told him he should look at Julie's blog. I got a text message later on that we already have 2 cats that we're not "supposed" to have since we're only renting our house. I knew that and I was okay with that and left it at that. I really just wanted him to see how stinkin' cute the kitties were especially since orange kitty's are my favorite!!!! Well, later on yesterday afternoon I received a knock on my door and didn't recognize the girl at the door. She came in hand with a gift bag and told me my husband sent me a present because he loves me very much! :) This was my present.......

By the way, the owners thought the kittens were both males. Ours is not. Which is fine. I was pretty sure it was a female but not 100% sure. So I took her up to the local vet today so they could tell me so that we can finally give the cat a name! Jaden is dead serious that her name should be and IS "A-ginia" (Virginia). We are not so sure. We have settled on the name Mylee! Isn't she adorable!!!??

Just wanted to wish my niece Kamry AND her son (my "great" nephew) Jaxxen a Very Happy Birthday!!! It is Jaxxen's 1st birthday and he gets to share the special day with his mommy!!!!!

Oh MY.....all I have got to say is that we are in trouble!!! Look what I found and bought tonight! Actually, Mariah found it first and brought it over to show me. I fell in love with it immediately. I HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!!! Unfortunately, Will wasn't quite nearly as excited about it as me. I can't imagine why!?? He was fine with me buying it though....thank goodness. Otherwise, I would have had to go back by myself to sneak and buy it! Shhhhh. It is the softest blanket too...on both sides. Oh, I'm in love with it. And how fun will it be to finally get to use it!? This girl thing is dangerous! Shopping, shopping, shopping. How could I have passed it up!??!

Funny stuff

So tonight we were out and about as a family. We happened to run upon a new Bahama Bucks and stopped in for a treat. The kids were excited because most of the franchises have been closed down around here and we haven't had this treat for quite awhile.

So Jaden and I were casually sitting at our table alone eating our shaved ice treat. Every ice comes with a cute lil umbrella. Jaden said something to me that just made me giggle and thought how cute and innocent they are! So I had to write it here while it was still fresh in my mind and we can remember it for a long time!

Jaden: I'm gonna save my umbrella for the little ants.

Me: Why is that?

Jaden: So when it rains on them out in the grass they will have an umbrella to keep dry.

LOL!!!!!

How cute is that!? I had to share it was too cute.

We went in this morning for my ultrasound....and are pretty sure that it's a girl. That being said, we couldn't get a good wide open "crotch" shot to positively confirm it's a girl. But from all the tries and angles the doctor could get and see there were NO visible boy parts! So he's going with GIRL! He did say that at my appointment next month he will look again with another ultrasound! So now I get to go S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G!!! Woohoo!!!

crazy kids

This past weekend we let the kids stay up late and sleep on the air mattress in the front room. Originally, Easton was literally crazy and bouncing off the couch to the mattress and just plain cracking us up. Jaden and Mariah got in on it too. We had some good laughs that night!!! Easton is seriously daredevil and just plain silly. Enjoy our fun family moments!

Mariah's Dance Recital

This last Saturday Mariah had her very first ever dance recital. For Christmas this past year we enrolled her in a dance class with Miss Beverly as part of a Christmas present. She has LOVED it!!!! She really wanted to do ballet, but unfortunately Miss Beverly's ballet class was already full at the time, so she was in the "creative movement" class. She has really enjoyed it and really excelled being the first time she's ever taken dance in her 9 years of life. She even had a "starring" role in her classes performance on Saturday. Of course I'm her mom and I think she did the best, but wow, she REALLY did an EXCELLENT job! You'd never have known it was her first time in dance. Even her teacher said how well she was doing. Way to go Mariah! We love you! And were very proud of you! You did awesome!
