The morning went smoothly. I woke up early to shower and get ready while Easton slept. We got completely ready to go and swept Easton out of bed and put him in his carseat where he slept the whole way to the hospital. That was nice since he couldn't have anything to eat or drink at this point and that way he wouldn't be tempted if he was sleeping.
The pediatrics dept was waiting for us and got us all set up and ready. They had the cutest little gown for Easton to wear for the surgery. While waiting to be taken down for surgery, this hospital had a playroom that was most equipped with all the toys, crayons, activities you could think of.....a child's heaven. Oh and can't forget about the big fish aquarium that Easton loved!
When it came time for Easton's turn he never once cried or fussed at all. He was a champ through the whole ordeal. The nurses couldn't believe how well he'd done! He was so brave. After the surgery was done, we went back to be with him while he was coming out of sedation which I anticipated to be the worst part, but to our surprise he was just fine. His nose was a bit itchty from the anasteathia and he didn't exactly like the IV line in his arm, but other than that, he was so good. They took us up to his bed where he could wake up and be observed. He woke up and watched tv while laying on me for a good hour without moving an inch! Not "typical" Easton. He stayed a bit grougy for a while after surgery, so Will and I stopped for lunch on the way home. Half way through lunch, Easton came out of his grougy shell and became his normal active self. He even ate some breadstick and drank a ton.
Now we're home where he took a great afternoon nap, and you'd NEVER know he had surgery this morning!!! No side effects so far....keeping fingers crossed. He's happy and healthy and not grumpy or in any kind of obvious pain which is good for us all! I'd say it was a successful day and we're glad it's over!
Being wheeled down for surgery
Post-surgery....coming out of sedation
All done....just a bit loopy still

way to go easton. i hope the surgery helps him to feel better!! i've been meaning to comment about your post FOREVER ago that you are prego... CONGRATS!! That is so exciting, even if unexpected. I hope you are starting to feel better. When are you due and when do you get to find out what you are having?!
Love the little hospital gown!! It's cute but I could see how it could be sad if your baby was going in for something scary. Glad everything went well. Can't wait to see you next week!
