Madysen's 2 month appointment

Mostly for journaling purposes, I'm going to start recording Mady's well checks.....
I can't believe she is already 2 months old! Time flies. She did really well at her appointment. She got shots and to my surprise she barely cried for a few seconds! She did excellent! Better than the boys ever did. And then after I got her dressed she fell right asleep. What a good girl!
So, today she was....
14lbs 13oz (100%)
24 1/4" tall (100 %)
39 cm head circ. (50%)
GROWING LIKE A WEED!!!!

Our own version of "Twilight"!

So last night Easton decided on giving us his own version of "Twilight".....but not exactly the Twilight I was hoping for! Instead, he let us experience the twilight hour at the local ER!!!
The boys were in the bathtub when Easton went to reach for a toy and slipped. Ouch! Yep, the staples in the back of his head a year ago weren't enough I guess. He wanted to earn some stitches too. But to our luck, the chin "lac" (laceration) as they called it in the ER, was such a clean cut that we had the choice of glue or stitches. Mariah did the same exact thing to her chin 5 years ago and we had hers stitched up and it was not the funnest experience. So, we opted out of the stitches to avoid the needle and did the glue route. Easton never ever cried or even wimpered once the whole time. He was very cooperative, amazingly! He's definitely A-L-L boy!!! He's been in the hospital more times than all of us combined in his short 2.5 years!
(Of course I had to take the camera along just for the blog! lol)

Just a Bit of what we've been up to....

Jaden had a school fieldtrip last week to a local farm. They went on a hayride which is the only pic I got (after the ride was over). Here are Easton and Jaden being silly while I attempted to document at least one pic of the fieldtrip.

Mariah with her baby sister gettting ready for a bath. Aren't they cute?!

Here's our little "dolly" just being cute! Only she isn't so "little" really....just on Monday, exactly 7 weeks old, she was 13lb 8oz at the doctor! What a porker! But she's a cute one at least :)

I guess Oreo figured since Mady isn't getting any use out of her crib just yet, he'd make residence there! I have found him in there several times. (by the way, Mady sleeps in her pack n play in our bedroom right now...not in our bed!)

And here's Nanny Karen (Will's mom) visiting us! Believe it or not, Easton actually took this picture! The kids are having fun with her here since we don't get to see her very often. The boys are really enjoying her, and Madysen is very well taken care of, thanks to Nanny Karen!

Are you kidding me!??

Yes, this is our 2 year old. Yes, that is a PINK binky in his mouth. Yes, this was all HIS idea.

But let me tell you....this is the SAME kid that would NOT take a binky to save his life or ours when he was a baby! Believe me, we tried and tried to get him or even force him to take a binky for that matter. But he wouldn't have it.

Then tonight, he decided that he would use Mady's binky! He liked it!

I THINK NOT!!! He wouldn't take one as a baby....He's NOT starting now!!!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween night our ward had a neighborhood trunk or treat with chili and hot dogs, games and then lots of candy. The kids had fun. After the trunk or treat we headed out to let the kids do some door-to-door trick or treating. Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house so they could see the kiddos dressed up.

Mariah & Cali (her "bff"...these two are inseperable these days!). Mariah was missing part of her costume. She called herself a "groovy girl" which was like a 70's chick. Her friend Cali was also missing part of her costume....she was a "gansta girl". Aren't they cute?

Easton reliving the Mesa fireman costume that Jaden wore when he was two also.

Jaden was Ironman. He wouldn't wear the mask all night. And we ended up losing it at the trunk or treat anyway. Oh well.

Mady was a cow. And yes, a GIRL cow.

Here is the night before Halloween when we carved our pumpkin. Mariah did the "dirty" work of cleaning out the "guts". She loved it!

This was supposed to be a "mean" pumpkin...but if you ask me, he looks like a happy....but shhhhh, don't tell Will.
